Iranian singer, Homayoun Shajarian, in his first solo performance abroad was well received according to Iranian music critics in London. Shajarian and his accompanying team of musicians known as the Dastan Musical Group are currently in London.
The audience at Cadogan Hall in London welcomed the performance of Iranian tradition singing and the accompanying instrumental backing that went on for two hours.
Homayoun had performed with his father, Mohammad Reza Shajarian, in London last year. The senior Shajarian is considered Iran’s outstanding traditional vocalist.
The majority of the audience consisted of young people.
